Taylor Budowich Appointed to U.S.-China Commission
Chair Schriver, Vice Chair Kuiken Welcome Newest Member to Commission
Washington, D.C. — Today, the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission welcomed the appointment by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) of Mr. Taylor Budowich to the Commission. We look forward to tapping Taylor’s expertise as we pursue a robust agenda for 2026 and continue to shine a light for Congress on the serious economic and security risks posed by China.”
The Commission also welcomed the re-appointments for two-year terms of Commissioner Mike Kuiken by Senate Democratic Leader Schumer, Commissioner Randy Schriver by Senate Majority Leader Thune, Commissioner Jonathan Stivers by House Democratic Leader Jeffries, and Commissioner Leland Miller by Speaker Johnson. For 2026, Commissioners selected Commissioner Schriver as Chair of the Commission and Commissioner Kuiken as Vice Chair.
Background
Mr. Taylor Budowich most recently served as Deputy White House Chief of Staff and Cabinet Secretary for the Trump Administration where he oversaw strategic messaging, media operations, and the President's Cabinet. Prior to his White House service, he was the founder and CEO of MAGA Inc. from 2023-2024, the principal Super PAC supporting President Trump’s 2024 campaign, and the Director of Communications for President Trump in 2021 and 2022. In 2018 he worked as a senior advisor for Ron DeSantis’ gubernatorial campaign, and prior to that he led Tea Party Express as the organization’s Executive Director.
