Josh Hodges, Chris Slevin Appointed to U.S.-China Commission
Chair Price, Vice Chair Schriver Welcome Newest Members
Washington, D.C. — Today, the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission welcomed two new appointments: Mr. Josh Hodges, appointed by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), and Mr. Chris Slevin, appointed by House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). Background
Mr. Josh Hodges currently serves as Senior Director of Corporate Affairs/Senior Adviser to the Chair at VEON Ltd., a multinational telecommunications and digital services company. Previously he was National Security Advisor to Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). Hodges also served as Special Assistant to President Trump and Senior Director at the National Security Council. In addition, he has held senior roles at the Inter-American Development Bank, National Nuclear Security Administration, both the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, and served as Military Legislative Assistant for Senator David Vitter (R-LA), among other roles.
Mr. Chris Slevin most recently served as Chief of Staff to former Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. Earlier he was appointed Deputy Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs under former President Joseph Biden. Slevin has also served as the VP of the Economic Innovation Group, a nonpartisan research and policy organization, as well as a senior policy advisor to Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH).
