Sean O’Connor

Sean O’Connor has been an analyst with the Commission since July 2015. He researches issues relating to U.S.-China trade and investment ties, the status of Chinese State Owned Enterprise reforms, and cross-Strait relations. Sean previously worked at the Council on Foreign Relations and the Asia Society Policy Institute. He has published extensively on illicit narcotic flows from China and continues to research the economic and national security implications of increased Chinese investment in the United States. Sean graduated with a BA in International Studies from American University and is currently working toward a Master of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
