Alec Cabot Blivas

Alec Cabot Blivas is a Research Assistant on the Security and Foreign Affairs team at the Commission, where he researches China-Latin American relations, Chinese arms exports, and Chinese participation in intergovernmental organizations among other topics. Prior to joining the Commission in January 2018, he worked as a Non-Resident Research Intern at the Hudson Institute’s Center for Political-Military Analysis. Alec holds a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is currently pursuing an MA in Global Security Studies with a concentration in Strategic Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
