WTO Programme II: The global objective of the new co-operation programme is to strengthen the capacity of the PRC to implement its WTO and related commitments. This should lead to China becoming a law-abiding, a responsible global player in international trade and economic relations, honouring its WTO commitments to the mutual advantage of China and the rest of the world, and the EU and its Member States' business interests in particular. In the framework of the WTO Doha development agenda this should also contribute to enable China to assume its role in this context.
