                                                            REMINDER

The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, February 7, 2008 on The Implications of Sovereign Wealth Fund Investments for National Security.” The hearing will be held in Room 562 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building, First Street and Constitution Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20510. 

The hearing is being conducted to obtain testimony about how China is using its Sovereign Wealth Fund and, more particularly, how its use by China to make investments in the United States may affect U.S. economic and national security. The Commission will hear from experts on the topic including Dr. Brian Cartwright of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and scholars and experts from universities, business and industry will also testify.  Representatives from Congress and the Department of the Treasury are also invited.  A copy of the agenda is attached.
