Daniel W. Drezner is professor of international politics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and a senior editor at The National Interest. Prior to Fletcher, he taught at the University of Chicago and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Drezner is the author of All Politics is Global (Princeton University Press, 2007), U.S. Trade Strategy (Council on Foreign Relations, 2006) and The Sanctions Paradox (Cambridge University Press, 1999), and the editor of Avoiding Trivia (Brookings Institution Press, 2009) and Locating the Proper Authorities (Michigan University Press, 2003). He received his B.A. in political economy from Williams College and an M.A. in economics and Ph.D. in political science, respectively, from Stanford University. He has published articles in numerous scholarly journals as well as in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Foreign Policy, and Foreign Affairs. He is an occasional commentator for Newsweek International and NPR’s Marketplace, and keeps a daily weblog for Foreign Policy magazine. He is a member of the American Political Science Association, International Studies Association, and the Council on Foreign Relations.
