Susan Craig is a Red Team Leader at the U.S. Pacific Command in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Red Team challenges conventional analysis, performs devil's advocacy, and provides alternative and non-U.S. perspectives. She is the author of "Chinese Perceptions of Traditional and Nontraditional Security Threats" (Strategic Studies Institute, March 2007), a monograph she wrote while a China analyst at the U.S. Army's Foreign Military Studies Office at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. She previously worked as a staff officer and counter-proliferation analyst for the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, DC. Her other publications include "Reflections from a Red Team Leader," Military Review (March/April 2007) and "Defining the China-Japan Relationship," Issues and Insights (December 2006). Ms. Craig earned an M.P.A. in international security policy from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and an M.A. in political management from George Washington University. She is also a graduate of the U.S. Army's University of Foreign Military and Cultural Studies. She is married to Major Jim Craig, U.S. Army; they have a one-year old son, Cole.
