Jonathan Schwartz received his Ph.D. in political science at the University of Toronto, Canada. He is currently Associate Professor of Political Science at the State University of New York, New Paltz. Through his research Schwartz seeks to understand the factors influencing effective policy implementation in less developed countries. His focus is on Chinese Environmental policy implementation as well as on comparative Infectious Disease control policy in China, Taiwan, S. Korea and the United States. In 2007-8 Schwartz was a Fulbright scholar at Xi’an International Studies University in China.
