Dr. Kent Hughes is Director of the Program on Science, Technology, America and the Global Economy at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Prior to joining the Woodrow Wilson Center, Dr. Hughes was Associate Deputy Secretary of Commerce, President of the Council on Competitiveness, and Chief Economist to Senate Majority Leader Robert C. Byrd.
