Research Interests: Energy economics, energy demand and supply assessment, and energy studies in the Asia-Pacific region with special emphasis on oil, gas and petroleum refining issues; Oil and gas market analysis; China energy studies, Impact of economic development on fossil energy demand.

Researcher on energy policies, security, demand, supply, trade, and market developments, energy-economic links, oil and gas issues, and the impact of fossil energy and particularly transportation fuel consumption on the environment. Energy expert on China and head of the China Energy Project. Familiar with oil and gas sector issues in other major Asia-Pacific economies and the region as a whole.
