Bios

Dr. Jeffrey Logan
Senior Associate, Climate and Energy, World Resource Institute

 

Jeffrey Logan has more than a dozen years of experience managing energy projects to promote sustainable energy use in Asia and the Americas, with a heavy focus on China. At the World Resources Institute in Washington, DC, he currently leads work focusing on the intersection of energy security and climate change, including a project on carbon capture and sequestration. Previously, he was China Program Manager at the International Energy Agency in Paris, and Senior Staff Scientist at Battelle Memorial Institute.

Logan has led groundbreaking work to catalyze development of China’s natural gas sector and industrial energy efficiency markets. He has published and spoken widely on energy and environmental issues, including energy security. He has five-years of field experience working in Asia, and speaks Chinese and Nepali.  He has undergraduate degrees in aerospace engineering and liberal arts, and masters’ degrees in environmental science and public administration.
