
John B. Moavenzadeh

John Moavenzadeh is executive director of the International Motor Vehicle Program (IMVP). Founded at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1980, IMVP is an international research consortium focused on the global automotive industry. Mr. Moavenzadeh is responsible for shaping the IMVP research agenda, developing sponsor relations, and overall management of the program. Prior to joining IMVP, Moavenzadeh was a director with World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, from 1999 to 2003, responsible for program development with multinational firms in the automotive, aerospace, logistics & transportation, and travel & tourism industries. Moavenzadeh was an associate with Booz Allen Hamilton’s international transportation practice from 1996 to1999, and a product design engineer with Ford Motor Company from 1990 to 1994. Moavenzadeh holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, an MS in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, and an MPP from Harvard University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the United States.
