Randal C. Gaereminck

Ground Combat Systems
Randal C. Gaereminck assumed duties as the interim Deputy Program Executive Officer for Ground Combat Systems on 5 January 2004 under the Army Acquisition Executive. Responsibilities include oversight of programs such as Future Combat Systems, Stryker, Abrams MBT, Bradley, JLW 155, Robotic Systems JPO, M113 and Paladin.
Previously, Mr. Gaereminck served as the Deputy Program Executive Officer for Combat Support and Combat Service Support (CS&CSS) from January 2002 through January 2004.
Prior to that, he served as the Program Executive Officer, CS&CSS from October 2001 through January 2002. He was responsible for the day-to-day operations of all system acquisition programs totaling over $17 billion and approximately 350 plus systems in the acquisition pipeline. He also served as the Deputy for Systems Acquisition (DSA) from August 2001 through October 2001.
Mr. Gaereminck occupies an approved critical Army Acquisition Corps position and has been appointed as a member of the Acquisition Corps. He is Level III Acquisition Corps certified in Program Management and Logistics Management. Acquisition assignments include PM and DPM Improved Recovery Vehicle, DPM Combat Mobility Vehicle, PM Trailers, PM FVPDS (Fielded Vehicles Performance Data System), WSM (Weapon System Manager) Combat Vehicle Personnel Heaters, and Chief Trailer Management Office. He has had numerous assignments in TARDEC, Logistics Technology Office, IMMC, National Maintenance Point, Readiness Directorate, DOIM, etc. Upon graduation from college, Mr. Gaereminck was recruited by Chrysler Corporation and worked at the Chrysler Automotive World Headquarters-Engineering for over eight years. The following two years were spent at Chrysler Defense (now General Dynamics Land Systems) working on engineering, design, test and production issues and programs for the M1 Main Battle Tank program for the Army.
