The Taiwan Defense Review editorial team is chaired by Fu S. Mei, a leading authority on the ROC military and a seasoned writer/researcher who has published numerous articles on Taiwan in such respected defense journals as International Defense Review.

Fu had contributed to several editions of Jane's Armor & Artillery and is a steady contributor to the US Naval Institute Guide to Combat Fleets of the World and Guide to World Naval Weapons Systems. He also served as a consultant to the US-based naval consulting firm AMI International and had published a monograph on his study of the Taiwanese PFG-2 frigate program.
