Dr. Adam C Cobb, Department of Warfighting Strategy,
Air War College
Dr. Cobb writes and teaches courses on strategy, counterterrorism, critical infrastructure protection, and Asia Pacific security.
Prior to joining Air War College in 2005, Dr Cobb was director of a think tank in Sydney, Australia, and has served as Special-Director Strategic Policy, Royal Australian Air Force HQ; Senior Defense Adviser, Australian Parliament; on the Congressional Liaison staff of the Australian Embassy in Washington DC; and on the staff of a Member of the United States Congress.
Professor Cobb’s recent publications include: “ Australia and the RMA” in The Information Revolution in Military Affairs in Asia. Goldman, E., and Mahnken, T., (Eds), (Palgrave Press, New York, 2004); " Critical Infrastructure Attack: An Investigation of the Vulnerability of an OECD Country," in: Bosch, J.M.J., H.A.M. Luiijf & A.R. Mollema (eds.), NL Arms: Netherlands Annual Review of Military Studies, (NL: Tilburg University Press, 1999); and he is currently writing a book entitled Homeland Security in Australia: Threats, Vulnerabilities and Response Options.
Professor Cobb received his B.A. at Sydney University (including exchange semesters at UC Berkeley and UT Austin), M.A. at the Australian National University and Ph.D. at St John’s College, Cambridge University, where he read History under the supervision of Professor Sir Harry (FH) Hinsley (the Official Historian of British Intelligence).
