Ken Berman

Ken Berman is the Manager of the International Broadcasting Bureau's Anti-Censorship Program, overseeing a technical staff of networking engineers, computer programmers, and contractors that concentrate on developing technical countermeasures to foreign government's Internet filtering and censorship efforts. He has established this program as a critical component in getting US Government programs materials such as the Voice of America and Radio Free Asia into countries such as China and Iran. He has been involved with the global modernization of IBB's overseas technical facilities, where he managed the design and construction of transmitting stations in nearly a dozen countries. He recently completed a 2-year detail assignment at the Department of State, where he helped establish secure communication systems between the Department and its overseas building contractors. He has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, High Honors, from the University of Illinois, and a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii.
