Ivan Eastin

Dr. Ivan L. Eastin is the Acting Director of the Center for International Trade in Forest Products (CINTRAFOR) and Professor at the University of Washington. Dr. Eastin’s research interests include evaluating the factors that influence technology transfer in the Japanese 2x4 residential construction industry, understanding the factors that influence softwood lumber substitution in the Japanese residential construction industry, and exploring the substitution between softwood lumber and alternative building materials in the US residential construction industry. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Forest Products Marketing and the International Trade and Marketing of Forest Products.
