Smyth McKissick
President,
Alice Manufacturing, Representing the American
Textile Manufacturing Institute (ATMI)
Since 1988 Mr. McKissick has led Alice Manufacturing Company's four plants
in Easley. He succeeded his father, Ellison S. McKissick,
Jr., and is the fourth generation of his family to head the textile
manufacturing company, which is Pickens County's largest employer. Previously
he served as executive vice president and treasurer.
Mr. McKissick
holds a bachelor of science in Administrative Management from Clemson
University and a master's in Business Administration from the University of
South Carolina.
He serves as a member of the
board of trustees for Clemson University, the University of South Carolina
Business Partnership Foundation, the J. E. Sirrine
Textile Foundation and the Institute of Textile Technology.
He also is a member of the board
of directors of the American Textile Manufacturers Institute and Christ Church
Episcopal School.
He and his wife, Martha Allyson
Wood McKissick, have a son and two daughters and live
in Greenville.
